Vegan Lens · account and data deletion

You can delete your Vegan Lens account yourself, from inside the app, in about ten seconds. If you’ve already uninstalled it or can’t sign in, there’s a second route below. Either way everything goes — we keep no copy.

The fast way: in the app

Open Vegan Lens and go to the You tab.
Tap the settings row (the ⚙️ one).
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
Type delete to confirm, and tap Delete everything.

That is the whole thing. It happens straight away — there is no waiting period, no “are you sure” email, and no way to undo it.

If you can’t use the app

Uninstalled it? Lost the password? Email us and we’ll do it for you.

What to put in it

Send it from the email address you signed up with. That is how we know the request is yours — we can’t delete an account on the word of a stranger.
Say clearly that you want the account and its data deleted.

If you signed in with Apple using Hide My Email, send it from that relay address, or tell us the date you signed up and roughly when you last used the app so we can match the account.

We confirm within 72 hours and complete it within 30 days, which is nearly always the same day.

What gets deleted

Everything. Specifically:

Deleted immediately
Your login	Email, password hash, and any Apple or Google sign-in link
Your profile	Display name, onboarding answers, age, height, weight, goals and targets
Your food log	Every meal, with its verdicts, nutrition estimates and ingredients
Your kitchen	Pantry items and shopping list
Your saves	Saved recipes and saved places
Your photo folder	The app doesn’t store scan photos, so this is normally empty — it is emptied and removed anyway
Your scan records	The audit rows noting each AI call, its verdict and its cost
Your streak	Streak count, freezes and badges
Your subscription record	The entitlement row on our server, and your customer record at RevenueCat

What survives, and why

Encrypted database backups roll off within 30 days. Nobody reads them; they exist to recover from a disaster and then they expire.
Billing records held by Apple, Google and RevenueCat. They are required to keep these for tax and accounting reasons and we can’t delete them on your behalf.
Cached barcode product data. It describes a supermarket product, not you, is shared by every user, and carries no link to your account.

Cancel your subscription first. Deleting your account does not cancel veganlens+ — only Apple or Google can do that, and if you skip this you will keep being billed for an app you no longer have.

iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Vegan Lens → Cancel.
Android: Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Vegan Lens → Cancel.

If you want less, not none

Deleting the account is all-or-nothing, but a few smaller things are in the app already and might be what you actually want:

Delete individual meals — swipe a row in Today, or open the meal.
Turn off every notification — Settings. They are all off by default anyway.
Sign out, which clears the app’s local copy of your data from this phone without touching the account.
